There is a view across the industry that seems to be taking hold; end-to-end standards need to be mandated in order to reduce complexity and make things more predictable. We have established that standardization on the backend is beneficial however does it foster a sufficient amount of innovation and competitive spirit required to deliver an experience that is uniquely valuable to our consumers?
As technology continues to expand and the power of the cloud becomes a larger reality, the media industry will need to reassess that strategy, pushing the limits of technology and leveraging what cloud-based solutions can provide.
